Mineral oil
• CLP 460
Synthetic oil
• CLP HC 220
Food-compatible oil
• CLP HC 220 USDA H1
At an ambient temperature generally over +30 °C:
• The application case must be checked by Lenze.
-30 °C ... +10 °C
Food-compatible oil
• CLP HC 46 USDA H1
When starting a cold motor at below -20 °C, increased starting torques are to be expected due to the higher
viscosity of the roller bearing grease.
• During project planning, allow a motor starting torque reserve of about 20%.
Commissioning at over +10 °C:
• Operate the drive at max. 50% of the rated torque to avoid a reduction in service life.
-30 °C ... +40 °C
Synthetic oil
• CLP HC 220
When starting a cold motor at below -20 °C, increased starting torques are to be expected due to the higher
viscosity of the roller bearing grease.
• During project planning, allow a motor starting torque reserve of about 30%.
At an ambient temperature generally over +30 °C:
• The application case must be checked by Lenze.
At a constant temperature between -30 °C and -25 °C, the service life is up to 20% lower than with the low-
temperature range.
