    1 General Information 1.1 Overview The freeConnect 2400 provides an easy and inexpensive way to create or extend your network. With its 24 10/100Mbps ports supporting up to 200 Mbps of bandwidth per port, adding additional clients is fast and simple. Its chassis is designed to fit into a standard 19” rack and only takes up 1U of space, ideal for medium to large workgroups.

    2 Installation 2.1 Installation Tips When installing the freeConnect 2400, keep the following points in mind: Install the unit in a cool and dry place. Refer to the specifications (Section 3.1) for details on • permissible temperature and humidity ranges.

    2.3 Front Panel The following items can be found on the front panel of the freeConnect 2400 (Figure 2-3). Figure 2-3: Front Panel Power LED This indicator will light up green when the switch is receiving power. Link / Activity LED The LED for each port will light up green when the port is connected to an active device, and will flash when data is being transmitted or received.
