ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
There are some buttons and menus we have not talked about
yet. Here is a short description:
• Button "Configuration" opens the start window for the
system configuration.
• "PSS-224A/B/PEU-056A-Monitor" shows the state of
LEDs and relays of these devices on the local computer
screen.
• The "Login" button enables a new program start as user,
administrator or as service technician.
• Both of the buttons "monitoring temporarily on and
off" fulfill their purpose of switching the monitoring
momentarily on or off. This means when restarting, all the
previously saved settings are activated. It is only possible
to enter permanent settings within the service menu.
• The "Info" menu shows installed software's version
number.
• The "Help" menu opens the online help menu.
• The "Service" menu opens a window where all tact
switches and functions can be tested. Furthermore an
error statistic is shown.
• The "S.N.A.P-LAB" menu lists all transmitted and
received data packages which is very helpful for detailed
error analysis.
• The "AVR" menu opens a window for firmware update
function. This is described in the following chapter in
detail.

ZUSäTZLICHE FUNKTIONEN
Es gibt noch ein paar Buttons und Menüs, die noch nicht
erwähnt worden sind. Hier eine kurze Beschreibung:
• Der Button „Konfiguration" öffnet das Startfenster für
die Systemkonfiguration.
• Der „PSS-224A/B/PEU-056A-Monitor" zeigt die Zu-
stände der Leuchtdioden und Relais dieser Geräte auf
dem Bildschirm an.
• Der „Login"-Button ermöglicht den erneuten Programm-
start als Anwender, Administrator oder Servicetechniker.
• Die beiden Buttons „Überwachung temporär Ein" und
„Aus" dienen dazu die Bus- und Sprechstellenüber-
wachung momentan ein- oder auszuschalten, d. h. bei
einem Neustart wird die gespeicherte Einstellung wieder
aktiv. Eine dauerhafte Einstellung ist nur im Service-Me-
nü möglich!
• Das „Info"-Menü zeigt die Versionsnummern der instal-
lierten Software an.
• Das „Hilfe"-Menü öffnet die Online Hilfe.
• Das „Service"-Menü ermöglicht das Testen von Tasten
und Funktionen und zeigt die Fehlerstatistik. (siehe Kapi-
tel „Service Menü")
• Das „S.N.A.P-LAB"-Menü listet die übertragenen
Datenpakete auf und ermöglicht so eine gezielte Fehler-
suche.
• Das „AVR"-Menü ermöglicht das Aufspielen von neuer
Firmware (nur mit Windows `98 möglich).
