ADD CUSTOM TEXTS
Please regard the following:
1. Prior to removing the CF-card, please turn off the text
module (removal of CF-card under voltage may cause
damage to the card or to the module!) An activated text
module can be recognized from the outside through the
red LED on the front panel. The CF-card may not be re-
moved if the red light is on.
2. Remove the CF-card (remove the mechanical lock and
pull CF-card out on the strap)
3. Connect the CF-card to a card-reader on a standard com-
puter and copy the finished audio data onto the card
• T he audio files have to be in mp3-format with a fixed
bit rate (stereo 128kBit/s up to 320kBit/s)

The audio files have to be numbered consecutively,
and there may be no numbers missing in between
• I t is possible to have a max of 2 individual texts (fine
number 40.mp3 up to 71.mp3) anything above that
is ignored by the system. (Out of up to 32 possible
customer texts, they are factory-provided due to the
standard evacuation texts)
• T he actual length of the texts is limited to 30 minutes
by the manufacturer
4. Put the CF-card back in and attach the mechanical lock
again.
5. Turn on the text module and import the audio files – just
as during set up of the module – into the PSS-224 C in
order to transfer accurate times to the remote micro-
phones.
TEXT- & SIGNAL MEMORY
INDIVIDUELLE TEXTE HINZUFÜGEN
Hierbei ist folgendes zu beachten:
1. Vor Ausbau der CF-Karte Textmodul abschalten (Ausbau
der CF-Karte unter Spannung kann zur Beschädigung
der Karte oder des Moduls führen!). Ein eingeschaltetes
Textmodul ist von außen durch die rote Kontrollanzeige
an der Blende zu erkennen. In diesem Zustand darf die
CF-Karte nicht entfernt werden!
2. CF-Karte ausbauen (mechanische Verriegelung entfer-
nen und CF-Karte an Lasche herausziehen)
3. CF-Karte in einem Card-Reader an einem Standard-PC
anschließen und die fertigen Audio-Dateien auf die Karte
kopieren.

Die Audio-Dateien müssen im mp3-Format mit fester
Bitrate (Stereo 128kBit/s bis 320kBit/s) vorliegen.
•
Die Audio-Dateien müssen fortlaufend nummeriert
sein, es dürfen keine Nummern dazwischen fehlen.
• Es sind maximal 32 individuelle Texte möglich (Da-
teinummer 40.mp3 bis 71.mp3), alle darüber werden
ignoriert. (Von den 32 möglichen Kundentexten sind
werksseitig bereits zwei durch die beiden Standard-
Evakuierungstexte belegt.)
• Die Länge der einzelnen Texte ist werksseitig auf 30
Minuten begrenzt.
4. CF-Karte wieder einbauen und die mechanische Verrie-
gelung wieder befestigen.
5. Textmodul einschalten und Audio-Daten erneut - wie bei
der Einrichtung des Moduls - in die PSS-224 C einlesen,
damit die korrekten Zeiten an die Sprechstellen übermit-
telt werden.
