To assemble the telescopic handle [ Fig. A2 / A3 ]:

To assemble the shoulder strap [ Fig. A4 ]:
CAUTION!
The supplied shoulder strap must be used.
1. Widen the belt clip

and fasten it onto the beam using the screw
2. Engage the shoulder strap clasp
3. Adjust the shoulder strap to the desired length by using the
quick strap fastener.

3. INSTALLATION

Initial Operation [ Fig. A1 ]:

v Before you initially operate the unit, make sure that the mains
cable is disconnected and the protective cover

To fill in chain oil [ Fig. I1 ]:
DANGER! Risk of injury!
Physical injury due to chain breakage when the chain on
the bar is not sufficiently lubricated.
v Check whether sufficient quantities of chain oil are delivered
prior to each use.
We recommend to use Art. 6006 GARDENA Oil or an equivalent mineral
chain oil from a specialist supplier.
1. Unscrew the lid of the oil tank
2. Fill the chain oil into the filler neck
is fully filled with oil.

3. Close the lid of the oil tank
The unit must be cleaned thoroughly if oil has been spilled.
To check the oil lubrication system:
v Point the bar

at a bright wood cutting surface at a distance of
approx. 20 cm. After operating the unit for one minute, clear traces
of oil must be visible on the surface.
Never let the bar come into contact with sand or soil as this will
lead to increased wear of the chain.

4. OPERATION

v Before you connect, adjust or transport the unit, disconnect
the mains cable and slide the protective cover

The unit can be operated in 2 work positions (above / below). To ensure
a tidy cutting edge, thick branches should be cut in 2 steps (illustrations
similar).

To start the Pruner [ Fig. A1 / O6 ]:

Risk of injury if the unit does not stop when you release
the start button.
v Do not bypass the safety devices or switches. For example
do not attach the starting lock-out
handle.
Verify that the following conditions are met before commencing work:
– The tank has been filled with sufficient chain oil and the lubrication
system has been checked (see 3. INSTALLATION).
– The chain is tensioned (see 5. MAINTENANCE).
To start:
The unit is fitted with a starting lock-out
turned on by accident.
1. Open the snap fit

2. Hold the telescopic pipe of the unit with one hand and the handle
with the other hand.
3. Push the starting lock-out
The unit will start.
4. Release the starting lock-out
To stop:
1. Release the start button
2. Slide the protective cover
To tilt the motor unit [ Fig. O7 ]:
For cutting at high and low level, the motor unit
of 60° to – 60° in 15° increments.
1. Keep the orange button
2. Tilt the motor unit
3. Release the orange button
To extend the telescopic pipe [ Fig. O8 ]:
For cutting at high and low heights, the telescopic pipe
nuously extended by up to 45 cm.
1. Loosen the orange nut
2. Extend the telescopic pipe
3. Tighten the orange nut

5. MAINTENANCE

To clean the pruner [ Fig. A1 ]:

v Before you maintain the unit, make sure that the mains cable is
