Removing the touchpad

Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
2. Remove the
base
cover.
3. Remove the
memory
module.
4. Remove the
WLAN
card.
5. Remove the
solid-state drive in M.2 slot
6. Remove the
solid-state drive in M.2 slot
7. Remove the battery.
8. Remove the
coin-cell
battery.
9. Remove the
left
fan.
10. Remove the
right
fan.
11. Remove the
heat
sink.
12. Remove the
power-adapter
13. Remove the
system
board.
NOTE:
The system board can be removed along with the heat sink.

Steps
1. Remove the three (M2x2) screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Lift the touchpad bracket off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Peel off the tape from the touchpad.
4. Remove the four (M2x2) screws that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5. Lift the touchpad off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
