6. To reinstall the PCI card holder into the chassis, insert the two tabs
in the chassis, and then pivot the PCI card holder downward until the front of the PCI card holder
snaps into position.

Installing or replacing a PCI card

Attention:
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information"
on page v.
This section provides instructions on how to install or replace a PCI card or an Intel Solid-State Drive 910
Series. Your computer has two standard PCI card slots, two PCI Express x16 graphics card slots, and one
PCI Express x4 card slot, and one PCI Express x4 (x16 mechanical) card slot.
Note: If you want to use an NVIDIA compute card, ensure that your computer also has an NVIDIA graphics
card installed.
To install or replace a PCI card, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 36.
3. Remove the PCI card holder. See "Removing and reinstalling the PCI card holder" on page 38.
4. Depending on whether you are installing or replacing a PCI card, do one of the following:
• If you are installing a PCI card, remove the appropriate metal slot cover at the rear of the computer.
