CAUTION!
Use of this device by persons with any electrical implant such as a heart pacemaker, or by preg-
nant women, is not recommended. Please consult your physician if you have any questions about
the use of this product in relation to any condition you may have, or treatment you may receive.

Please read this instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these instructions handy for future
reference.
1. Clean exposed parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove stains, use a mild soap. Never
use detergents, excess water, treated cloths, harsh cleaning agents, or sprays.
2. Although your scale is designed to be maintenance-free, it contains sensitive electronic parts.
Avoid rough treatment. Do not drop, kick, or jump on it. Treat it with care to ensure the best per-
formance.
3. This scale is designed to read weights maximum 200 kg. To prevent damage, do not place
more than 200 kgs on it.
4. Do not store scale on its side.
5. This scale is an extremely sensitive weighing device. In order to prevent run down of the batte-
ries, do not store anything on the scale.
6. The appliance must not be immersed into water or other liquids. Should it get wet, it must be
wiped off immediately.
7. This appliance can be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their
safety and they understand the hazards involved.
8. Children shall be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
9. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open fire etc.
10. The appliance is not for outdoor use.
11. The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped on the floor, or if it is obvious that the
appliance is damaged.
12. Use only new batteries of the correct size. Used batteries should always be removed, as they
may leak chemicals which may damage the circuits of the appliance.
13. The batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is disposed.
14. In the event of battery leakage, prevent skin contact and dispose batteries according to local
law.
15. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
16. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with
the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any
damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.
17. Polythene bags over product or package may be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation,
keep this wrapper away from babies and children. This bag is not a toy.

Before first use

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. The battery is attached outside of the polybag with transparent adhesive tape.
3. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly and then replace the battery cover and tighten the
screw.
4. For best accuracy, place scale on tile or hardwood floor, rather than uneven, flexible, or soft
flooring (such as carpet).
