Indesit Company MACHINE FUNCTION Drying Overview Cold air drawn into the dryer cabinet interior through louvres in the cabinet base, passes through the large hole in the inner back panel adjacent to the fan and driven through the element housing on the inner back panel.

Indesit Company VENTED AIRFLOW DIAGRAM Hot Airflow Cold Airflow The module also controls the heater, this has an upper and lower element, the lower (static) element is permanently energised (except in cool tumble) and the upper element (dynamic) is cycled on and off by the control module during a programme to maintain the correct temperature within the drum for the programme selected.
Indesit Company COMPONENT DESCRIPTION CONSOLE PANEL The console panel contains the user display and controls, these consist of a 7 segment LED display, LEDs, programme selection knob, option buttons to select the various drying options, start/reset button and a stand-by button. The interface module mounts to the rear of the console. All except the Start/ Cancel button are linked by software to control there corresponding LED.

Indesit Company High Heat (B1) Selects the high heat option with both heater elements enabled. If high heat selected pressing this button selects low heat with only the top heater enabled. Post Crease Care (B2) Selects Post Crease Care phase to occur after dryer finishes the cool tumble phase. If this option not selected the drying programme ends after the cool tumble phase.

Indesit Company PROGRESS LAMPS HEAT LED (L1) L1 Drying Phase The dryer is tumbling and heating. L2 Cool Down The heater is off and the drum tumbles. L3 End The programme is completed and the clothes can be removed. L4 Clean Filter Lamp A reminder to clean the filter is lit at the end of every cycle.

Indesit Company Control Module The control module is located behind the right hand side panel and there is a service port behind the plinth cover that allows attachment of a Computer to programme the EEPROM or test the control module. Contains the main processor and memory and EEPROM.

Indesit Company Rear Thermistor Fitted to the heater assembly above the heater. Used by the electronics for controlling the temperature into the rear of the dryer. Front Thermistor Fitted to the front air duct moulding Used by the electronics for controlling the temperature. Safety Cut-Out (One Shot) This device is a disc type thermostat set to operate at 150°C it is used as a safety device, It is positioned above the element.

Indesit Company • During the post creasecare phase of a drying programme, the programme will finish. Pressing the START/PAUSE button will re-start a new programme at the beginning. • The START/PAUSE button must be pressed to resume the programme. The progress lights will change to show the current status and the START/PAUSE light will stop flashing and turn green.

Indesit Company Easy Iron Programme ‘Easy Iron’ is a short 10 minute programme (8 minutes of heat followed by a 2 minute cool tumble period) which fluffs the fibres of clothing that have been left in the same position/location for an extended period of time.

Indesit Company P. Motor Remove the right hand side panel as in (E). Remove the heater cover - 8 screws. Remove the 2 fans from the motor hub - 3 hex head screws. Note: The inner and outer fans are DIFFERENT. Ensure fans are reassembled in the correct order.

Indesit Company S. Rear Bearing Remove the bearing rear cover. Remove the drive pin. Remove the teardrop shaped bearing fixing screw. Slide the teardrop shaped bearing off the drum shaft. NOTE: - As the teardrop shaped beating screw provides the Earth to the drum, the correct screw must be used.
