Setting up Connection Names through ACU

To set up connection names for the controller using the Array Configuration
Utility (ACU):
1. Click on Programs, then Compaq System Tools.
2. Click on ACU, then click on the controller displayed among the choices
available in the menu.
3. Click on the controller on the ACU main screen.
4. Click on Settings to run the Controller Settings screen.
5. On the Controller Settings screen, press the Connection Names button in
the Access Control group box to run the Connection Names screen.

Connection Names Screen

The Connection Names screen displays the connections that the ACU detects
from all servers to the array controller. This screen allows the user to set up
connection names for all connections. SSP provides a means of mapping the
worldwide identification (WWID) of the server host bus adapters to
connection names.
The user should record the WWN before configuring the server(s).
The connection name is a convenient way to identify a connection for a
controller instead of relying entirely on the WWN of the SAN Access Module.
