5. use OF The MaChINe
5.1.a switching on the Machine (Terry
Opale Capsule- Terry Opale Capsule
vapor - Terry Opale Capsule Cap)
To switch on and operate the machine proceed as follows:
• (Fig.10) - Press the ON/OFF button and turn it to the "I"
position; the (ON/OFF and machine ready) indicator lights
are on; in this phase the machine is warming up. (Only Terry
Opale Capsule Vapor and Cap) - The steam indicator light is
also on.
• (Fig.13) - Immediately press the brew button in (I) position;
this procedure will prime the water circuit.
• (Fig.13) - After 30 seconds press the brew button again in
(0) position to complete the circuit priming.
• (for Terry opale capsule vapor and for Terry Opale
capsule Cap only) Fill the steam circuit.
• Wait until the "machine ready" indicator light turns off . The
machine is now ready.
The first time that the machine is switched
on, or after a long period of disuse, we recom-
mend, to make it easier to fill the water cir-
cuit, to simulate quick pouring actions (in
short bursts) of coffee without a pod.
5.1.B switching on the Machine
(Only Terry Opale Capsule h2O)
To switch on and operate the machine proceed as follows:
• (Fig.10) - Press the ON/OFF button and turn it to the "I" po-
sition; the (ON/OFF and machine ready) indicator lights are
on; in this phase the machine is warming up.
• (Fig.16) - Place a cup/jug under the hot water wand.
• (Fig.20) - Press and hold the hot water button to start dis-
pensing hot water.
After 30 seconds release the hot water button to stop dis-
pensing.
Wait until the "machine ready" indicator light turns off . The
machine is now ready.
5.2. Coff ee Brewing
The machine can only operate with compati-
ble pods. It is prohibited to use pods other
than those types recommended. each pod
may only be used to pour one coffee; do not
re-use spent pods.
Caution: Never place fingers inside the pod
insertion drawer.
• Make sure that the pod holder is free and clean.
• (Fig.11) - Open the pod drawer.
• (Fig.12) - Insert the pod, placing it correctly in its seat.
• (Fig.11b) - Close the pod drawer; this will push the used
pod into the used pod drawer.
• (Fig.13) - Place the cup over the cup holder grill. Make sure
it is positioned in the centre of the grill.
Press the brew button in (I) position. The machine starts
brewing coffee.
• (Fig.13) - When the desired amount of coffee has been
brewed, press the brew button again in (0) position to stop
brewing.
• Remove the coffee cup.
Coffee is only pouted when the pod insertion
drawer is closed; a microswitch detects the
position.
Take care not to force the pod drawer in an
attempt to close it; if the drawer will not clo-
se, make sure that the used pod drawer is not
full. In this case, it is possible to slide out the
metal drawer support to remove these pods,
too.
Do not pour any coffee if no pod has been in-
serted.
If other types of pod are used (not coffee),
then it is advisable to carry out a rinse cycle
after every dispensing operation using the
spent pod. Failure to clean the machine may
cause the it to block.
