Changing the default settings of the amplifier

Change settings according to the connected speakers.
Speaker size setting (See pages 51, 52.)
Speaker delay setting (See page 52.)
Speaker level setting (See page 53.)
Test tone (See page 53.)
Example:
If the right surround speaker is 3.3 m away from the listening position, change set-
tings as shown below (adjust the SR).

Default setting: 2 m
1 In "Speaker delay setting", set the right surround speaker (SR) to 3.3 m.
2 In "Speaker level setting", slightly increase the level of the right surround speaker
as it is a little farther than others (see page 53).
3 In "Test tone", check the sound from each speaker (see page 53).
Note:
You cannot change the default settings whilst playing SACD/DVD-Audio discs.

You can change the sizes of the front speakers, centre speaker, and surround speak-
ers, or turn on or off the centre speaker and surround speakers.

Set the MODE 1/MODE 2 switch to MODE 2 and press the AMP SET
UP button.

Within 10 seconds, press the
