Welcome to the Cabletron Systems SWPIM-DDS Installation Guide. This
manual gives an introduction to the SWPIM-DDS, lists features and
capabilities, details the cabling pinouts, and explains how to install the
SWPIM-DDS.
The SWPIM-DDS (Sliding WAN Physical Interface Module) provides
remote connectivity using Digital Data Service (DDS), to extend the
functionality for a host platform designed to receive the SWPIM
architecture.
The term "host platform" may be used to indicate the device or

which the SWPIM-DDS is installed.
