adhesive.

5.10 Cable Installation

Insert the cables along existing grooves and ducts if possible. Where ducts or grooves are not
available, select routing that will not interfere with normal operations of the crew. Note! Many
truck manufactures provide additional 3/4" knockouts in the vehicle cab floor, check for
availability of knockouts prior to cutting additional holes. Note! It is not recommended to
disconnect the connector from cable. If you prefer to work with unterminated cables, see
Sections 3.16, 3.17 and 3.23 for unterminated components. Tie-wrap all cables to prevent
unnecessary cable movement. All interconnect and radio cables have weatherproof
connectors.
A. Align keyway slot on cable connector with
key on panel mounted connector. The key for
a panel mount receiving female connector
maybe in the 12 o' clock or 6 o' clock
position with the mounting surface of the
station being at 6 o' clock, the diagram
shows the Key at the 12 o'clock position
B. Push connector on until firmly seated
C. Twist connector ring clockwise ¼ turn until
locked

5.11 CSB 900 Series Headsets

Adjust headset for a comfortable fit. Position the boom mounted microphone directly in front of
your mouth, no more than ¼ inches from your lips. Each headset has its own volume control.
Adjust your individual volume control to a comfortable listening level. The CSB-900R/L radio
access headset incorporates a hot mic for intercom communications. Whenever you speak into
the microphone, you will be on intercom and will hear yourself through the headset. To
transmit on the radio, press the black PTT button and initiate radio check. When using the
CSB-901R/L radio listen and intercom access headset, press the red PTT button on the
headset. If you hear yourself in the headset, that position is operational.
