5.9.1 Installation of Weatherproof Stations
Installation of these watertight enclosures is facilitated by virtue of a self-adhesive back. To
install these stations, temporarily position the station on a clean flat surface at the installation
location. Note! DO NOT REMOVE THE ADHESIVE COVER AT THIS TIME. Location should
be chosen for ease of access during operation. Lightly mark outline of the station with pencil.
Remove station and set it aside. When installing the PS-900, for example, remove Pump
Station Template provided with the enclosure at this time. Position the template so that the
previously made pencil marks line up with the template. Mark cable pass through hole location
(and mounting holes if you choose to use both the adhesive back and mounting hardware, with
center punch and remove template. Drill or punch a 3/4" hole at the center point. Smooth the
edges of the hole to minimize abrasion of cable when routing. If the hole is cut into material
that will rust, seal the bare metal edges with a proprietary sealer. Carefully feed connector and
cable through the hole and towards the cab of the vehicle. Install a rubber grommet in the hole
to protect the cable. Clean surface of mounting location with alcohol. Remove adhesive
backing from the adhesive strip and position the station so that cable is centered in hole. Press
pump station firmly against cleaned surface and hold in place firmly for one minute. Note! 72
