Chapter 4: Making Network Connections
Connecting Network Devices
The V2H124-24FX switch is designed to be connected to 100BASE-FX network
cards in PCs and servers, as well as to other switches. It may also be connected to
remote devices using optional 100BASE-FX or 1000BASE-T/SFP modules.
MT-RJ Fiber Devices
Each device requires multimode fiber cable with MT-RJ connectors at both ends.
Multimode Fiber Cabling
To connect to an MT-RJ port first squeeze down on the port's protective cap and pull
it out horizontally. Insert the multimode MT-RJ connector into the port until it clicks
into place.
