Checking both gas train valves automatically for gas tightness

The burner control unit automatically
checks the valves for tightness when the
burner is started. If the valves are gas-
tight, the burner enters standard mode
and the burner starts.
If the first valve is not tight, fault code
"F E1" is shown on the burner control unit
display; if the second valve is not tight,
fault code "F E2" is displayed.

Checking all gas connections for tightness

Danger
Escaping gas leads to a risk of
explosion.
Always carry out the following
steps.

Please note
The use of leak detection spray
can lead to malfunctioning.
Leak detection spray must not
come into contact with electrical
contacts.
1. Insert new gaskets in all gas fittings
that have been opened and then
tighten those fittings.

Implementing final checks

1. Carry out final checks in accordance
with the points on pages 19 to 22.
Commissioning, inspection, maintenance
In either case, the gas train must be
replaced.
Danger
Escaping gas leads to a risk of
explosion.
Check test nipple for gas tight-
ness.
2. Open the gas shut-off valve.
3. Check the inlet joints of the gas train
for tightness.
4. Start the burner (see page 13).
5. Check the outlet joints of the gas train
and fittings between the fan and the
boiler door and between the fan and
the Venturi pipe for tightness.
2. Record the actual values in the report
(on page 74).
