Installation NAR300 system 5.1.3 Dimensions of Transmitter NRR262 NRR262 is designed to be installed indoors, such as in an instrument room, and can be easily mounted using two M4 screws. In addition, "one-touch" snap-in mounting is possible using a DIN rail EN50022 (outside scope of supply). This rail-mounted method is beneficial in cases where multiple transmitters are mounted in series, and in cases where installation of additional transmitters is expected in the future.

9. Divide the pit by using an oil partition if the pit is too wide. If the volume of oil outflow in proportion to the surface area is too small, NAR300 will be unable to detect oil leakage.
5.3.1 Handling precautions When transporting the NAR300, be sure to hold the float sensor with both hands. Do not lift or hold by any of the components shown in the figure below, and do not lift by the upper portion of the sensor. In addition, do not rotate the housing. Doing so may cause device failure.

NAR300 system Principle of alarm operation The oil leak detection signal detected by the NAR300 float sensor is converted to a power signal in the transmitter or the sensor I/F Ex box. After this, it is connected to the current detection circuit via the Ex [ia] safety barrier in the transmitter.
NAR300 system Diagnosis and troubleshooting Diagnosis and troubleshooting Fail safe (alert when oil is not leaking) An alarm may be issued for the following reasons, even when no oil is leaking. Items Description Ice forming in the pit When ice forms, the conductivity sensor interprets it as an insulator and an alarm is issued.
Diagnosis and troubleshooting NAR300 system Operation confirmation To confirm operation, arrange for one person to operate the float sensor and another person to be stationed at the on-site sensor I/F Ex box or Ex d transmitter NRR261, and confirm the operation. Avoid allowing static electricity charges to reach float sensor NAR300.

NAR300 system Diagnosis and troubleshooting Prior to alarm confirmation, be sure that the alarm system will not be affected if an oil leak alarm is issued. Refer to the previous section "Operation confirmation flow chart" for operation confirmation. The following shows voltage check points described on the flow chart.
NAR300 system Cleaning the conductivity sensor NAR300 is usually checked for conductivity between the electrode and the float body. NAR300 conductivity indicates that there is water. NAR300 conductivity indicates oil or air in the pit. Since the electrode holder is connected to the float body, when there is conductivity between them NAR300 determines that there is water.
8.1.2 Periodic inspections While the NAR300 float sensor is not easily affected by deposits or adhered material, conduct overall periodic inspections of the cable and wiring, etc., semi-annually along with an operation check as follows.
General information on repairs 9.1.1 Repair concept The Endress+Hauser repair concept assumes that the devices have a modular design and that repairs can be done by the Endress+Hauser Service Department or specially trained customers. Spare parts are included in appropriate kits. They contain the related replacement instructions.
The device must be returned if it is in need of repair or a factory calibration, or if the wrong device has been delivered or ordered. According to legal regulations, Endress+Hauser, as an ISO-certified company, is required to follow certain procedures when handling returned products that have come into contact with measured materials.
Install the float guide weight horizontally. Remove any debris and stones from the bottom of the pit so that the sensor can be mounted horizontally. The length of a standard float guide is 2 m (6.57 in). To order any other length, contact your Endress+Hauser Sales Center.
NAR300 system Accessories 10.2 U bolts and cable gland (waterproof) U bolts (JIS FF 3022 B50) are used to install a transmitter. Use a guide pipe; 50 A (2B φ 60.5 mm (198.5 in)). Tighten and secure the cable gland after inserting the cable from NAR300.
