PRE-OPERATION CHECK

ENGINE OIL

Check the oil level BEFORE EACH
USE w ith the generator on a level
surface and the engine stopped.
Use 4-stroke m otor oil that m eets
or exceeds the requirem ents for
API service classification SJ or
later (or equivalent). Alw ays check
the API SERVICE label on the oil
container to be sure it includes
t h e l e t t e r S J o r l a t e r ( o r
equivalent).
SAE 10W-30 is recom m ended for general, all-tem perature use. Other
viscosities show n in the chart m ay be used w hen the average
tem perature in your area is w ithin the indicated range.
1. Place the generator on a level surface.
2. Loosen the cover screw and rem ove the m aintenance cover.
