3 Cover the entire handle with a towel or cloth.
4 Hold the top of the handle with one hand.
5 With your other hand, use your hammer to
strike the handle 0.5 inches above the bottom
end on all sides to eject the end cap.
Note: You may have to strike it several times to
break the internal cap connections.
6 Remove the end cap. If the end cap does not
release easily, repeat step 3 until the end cap is
released.
7 Holding the handle upside down with a cloth or
towel, push the handle down on a hard surface.
If the internal components do not easily release
from the housing, repeat step 3 until the
internal components are released.
8 Remove the rubber battery cover with a
screwdriver.
