The AGR720 incorporates a built-in DVR dash cam that will record the view in front of your
vehicle as well as recording all audio within range of the built-in microphone. The device's
built in GPS antenna will automatically record the GPS track of your journey and all video,
audio and trip information can be reviewed directly on the device's LCD.
Operating the DVR dash cam manually
The DVR dash cam is set to 'Manual' by default but can also be set to launch automatically
each time the device is powered on if you prefer. To start the Dash Cam manually, press
the 'DVR' button from the Main menu and then press the green record button to start
recording. The video icon will turn red to confirm that is it now recording.
Please note that the Dash Cam will only be able to record if a suitable SD card has been
installed. The AGR720 comes with an 8GB SD card installed as standard, but this can be
increased to 32GB if you prefer.
Once the DVR dash cam has started to record you can exit the DVR dash cam and
proceed to Navigate or use other features while the dash cam continues to record in the
background. Please ensure that when you exit the DVR dash cam app you do so using the
'Menu/Home' button and not the 'Back/Exit' button or you will exit and close the DVR dash
cam app and it will stop recording in the background.
Set the DVR dash cam to launch and start recording automatically
From the main menu, press the 'Settings' button. Scroll down until you see 'About
PND', tap it and select 'Start DVR after boot'. Once selected the DVR dash cam app will
automatically launch and start recording each time the device is powered on. Once you
have made your selection, press the 'Menu/Home' button to return to the main menu.
Please ensure that when you exit the DVR dash cam app you do so using the 'Menu/
Home' button and not the 'Back/Exit' button or you will exit and close the DVR dash cam
app and it will stop recording in the background.
DVR Dash Cam Playback and Settings
To access DVR 'Playback' and 'Settings', press the DVR dash cam icon on the main menu
to launch the DVR app. Next 'swipe' the centre of the screen, from left to right and the
device will display a 'Settings' button and a 'Playback' button. Select the 'Playback' button
to review any video or photographs and press 'Settings' button to access the DVR settings
menu.
