INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before installation, open the front cover and remove all packing materials from the main unit. Fill in the usage
start year/month/day on the label for each cartridge. Make sure all cartridges are locked correctly (the LOCK
marks (
) are in front of the guide marks of the unit (▼)). Then attach the front cover. For handling of front
cover, see "Replacement of Filter Cartridges" on page E-6. Check the unit for any damage. If there is any
damage, contact your nearest SERVICE CENTRE APPROVED BY SHARP.
Installation Location
1. This unit is designed to be used on a countertop or
wall mounted.
2. Install the unit at a safe and suitable position where
it causes no risk of personnel injury or damage to
the unit itself.
3. When the unit is used on a countertop, place it on a
stable, leveled surface strong enough to support the
total weight of the unit with its full capacity (4.4 kg.)
4. When the unit is used on wall-hung, see "Installation
for Wall Mount" on page E-4.
5. Place the unit in the correct direction when running
water. (Do not place it in horizontally or obliquely.)
6. Do not connect tubes to other appliances (e.g.
water heater and ice machine.)
7. Do not place the unit under direct sunlight or
places with high temperature.
8. Do not place the unit near any heat source (e.g.
gas range.)
9. Do not place the unit on or above any electrical
appliances to prevent malfunction of the appliance,
should any water leakage happen.
Water Pressure
1. Use this unit under the water pressure of 0.1 - 0.4
MPa.
2. If the water pressure in your area is higher than 0.4
MPa, use a pressure reducing valve.
Mounting of the Diverter Valve
This water purifier cannot be installed to the
following faucets.
1. Faucets with plastic parts (not metal) at the
top.
2. Faucets with shower nozzle.
3. Faucets with sensor.
4. Faucets with a pipe of
10 mm or less in length.
1. Remove the aerater of your faucet. The removed
aerater is not used.
2. Attach the diverter valve
to the faucet and tighten.
If the diverter valve does
not attach to the faucet
directly, 3 options are
provided to attach the
valve to the faucet.

a. For a faucet with an external thread.
1. Remove the aerater

removed aerater is not
used.
2. Tighten the adapter C
to the faucet securely.
3. Tighten the diverter
valve to the adapter.
b. For a faucet with an internal thread.
1. Remove the aerater of
your faucet. The removed
aerater is not used.
2. Tighten the adapter
A or D to the faucet
securely, depending
o n t h e d i a m e t e r o f
your faucet.
3. Tighten the diverter
valve to the adapter.
c. For a faucet without a thread.
1. Tighten the adapter B to the diverter valve.
2. Loosen the cover of the adapter B and attach it to
your faucet.
3. Tighten the cover securely.
NOTE:
In case that the the adapter B does not fit to the
faucet, open the cover and remove the gasket and
spacer. And replace with another gasket, then close
the cover. Try steps 2 and 3 above.
