Chapter 2 Preparations

Remove the top cover.

Depending on the components to be installed or removed, follow the procedure in order.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.7 Internal Flash Memory) to (1.18 Use of Internal Hard Disk Drives in the RAID
System).
8.
Attach the top cover.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.19 Installing Top Cover).
9.
Mount the server onto the rack.
Refer to Chapter 2 (2.1.2 Installation).
10. Install Hard Disk Drives.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.20 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive) and Chapter 2 (1.21 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive).
11. Install Power Supply Unit
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.22 Power Supply Unit).
12. Attach the front bezel.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.5 Removing the Front Bezel).
This is the end of the installation or removal procedures for internal optional devices.
Continue the setup with reference to Chapter 2 (2.2 Connection).
