The Valdis is a soft sling backrest designed to offer optimal comfort and support by encompassing the curvature

of the occupant's back. Capable of adapting to diverse spinal morphologies, the Valdis is particularly

recommended for people with hyperkyphosis.
The cushioned back of the Valdis is cut with precision to provide a deeper immersion. With a square-patterned
TM
cut that increases the cushions flexibility and suppleness, the Valdis offers optimal pressure distribution. The
TM
grooved pattern of the urethane cushion creates cubes that act independently from each other to better adapt to
the user's unique back structure. This characteristic of the Valdis backrest makes it especially well suited to
TM
accommodate persons with thoracic kyphosis.
The high elasticity of the fabric and the straps allow a deeper immersion and helps create an adapted back support
that is fitted to the user's specific postural structure. The presence of three adjustment straps at the lower back
offers efficient support of the lumbar region and with the addition of lateral supports, trunk stability and balance
is significantly improved.
The Valdis can be installed on all types of tubular framed wheelchairs. A system of straps and Velcro bands help

maintain the back cushion in place by preventing the backrest from sliding on the back post or inside the cover.
The cushioned back of the Valdis can be easily removed from the cover to facilitate cleaning.
