Follow this procedure for both the upper and lower
knuckle bores. If either bore's diameter exceeds the limits
in Table 1, remove and replace the knuckle.
4. Measure the inner bore diameter of the axle beam.
Rounding at the top and bottom of the beam is
acceptable.
Measure the axle beam bore at four positions, and at
two specific locations: 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) below the top of
the bore, and 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) above the bottom of the
bore (Figure 16).
