102D SERIES MAINTENANCE MANUAL

LUBRICATION SCHEDULE

King pins, tie rod assemblies, and ball studs
Lubricate king pins, bushings, and the ends of cross
tube assemblies every 50,000 miles (80,000 km) or every
twelve months, whichever occurs first.
NOTE: Inspect the ball stud boot seal every 96,000
miles (154,000 km. If the seal is damaged, replace the
complete tie rod end.
NOTE: On all axles that uses a Anti Tilt" seal style seal
on the drop end assemblies should be serviced every
10,000 miles (16,000 km).
Wheel bearings
Lubricate wheel bearings according to the following
schedule:
Grease lubrication
When the hub seals are replaced;
When the brake pads are replaced of relined;
Every 30,000 miles (48,000 km). If the mileage each
year is less than 30,000 miles, lubricate the wheel
bearings twice a year.
Oil lubrication
Check oil every 1000 miles.
Change oil when seals are replaced or brakes are
relined.
Change oil every 100,000 miles or once a year.
