Inspection and maintenance work – Overview
D
No.
Work
Check the air/flue pipe for leak-tightness and to ensure that it is fastened correctly. Make sure
1
that it is not blocked or damaged and has been installed in accordance with the relevant set-up
instructions.
Check the general condition of the product. Remove any dirt from the product and the vacuum
2
chamber.
Visually inspect the general condition of the Thermoblock. In doing so, pay particular attention
3
to signs of corrosion, rust and other defects. If you notice any damage, carry out maintenance
work.
Check the gas connection pressure at maximum heat input. If the gas connection pressure is not
4
within the correct range, carry out maintenance work.
Check the unit's CO₂ content (air ratio) and adjust this, if required. Keep a record of this.
5
Disconnect the product from the power grid. Check that the electrical plug connections and other
6
connections are seated correctly and correct these if necessary.
Close the gas stopcock and the service valves.
7
Drain the product's heating circuit. Check the pre-charge pressure of the expansion vessel and
8
top up the vessel, if necessary (approx. 0.3 bar below the system filling pressure).
Allow the pressure in the hot water circuit to fall. Check the pre-charge pressure of the expan-
9
sion vessel in the shift-load cylinder (if installed). Correct the pressure, if necessary.
Check the extent to which the anode is corroded and replace it if necessary.
10
Remove the compact thermal module.
11
Check all seals in the combustion area, particularly the seal on the burner flange. If you see any
12
damage, replace the seals.
Clean the heat exchanger.
13
Check the burner for damage and replace it if necessary.
14
15
Check the condensate siphon in the product, clean and fill if necessary.
Install the compact thermal module. Caution: Replace the seals.
16
If the water volume is insufficient or the outlet temperature is not reached, replace the secondary
17
heat exchanger if necessary.
Open the gas stopcock, reconnect the product to the mains and switch it on.
18
Check that no gas is leaking.
Open the service valves, fill up the product/heating installation so that the pressure is 1.0 to
19
1.5 bar (depending on the static height of the installation) and start the purge programme.
Run a function test for the product and the heating installation – especially the domestic hot
20
water generation. Then purge the installation again, if required.
Check the gas type.
21
Visually inspect the ignition and burner behaviour.
22
23
Check the CO₂ content (the air ratio) of the product again.
Ensure that no gas, flue gas, domestic hot water or condensate is leaking from the product.
24
Restore leak-tightness if necessary.
Record the inspection/maintenance work carried out.
