Gap Filler is a DVB-T digital transposer in which TX and RX channels are the same. In this condition it is
possible to enable the Echo Canceller.
•
Set the receive frequency equal to the transmission one.
•
In the "DEMODUL CFG" menu enter the submenu "RX CH Bandwdt" and set the bandwidth of the
received signal. The echo cancellation works only if the DVB-T demodulator can demodulate the
received signal.
•
Push ENTER button on the exciter to enter the MAIN MENU.
•
Enter in "RF OUTPUT" menu.
•
Enter in "ALC config" sub-menu and disable ALC loop. Now RF output level control is manually driven
and controlled from echo canceller if enabled.
•
Set the output level that at which maximum power is delivered ("RF Out Level" equal to 0dB).
•
From the MAIN MENU enter into "ECHOCANCELLER" menu.
•
Enter the item "RF Start Lev." and set the starting value typically at -10dB.
For a good start initial ratio between echo and received signal as to be less than -10dB.
•
Enter in "RF Start Lev." sub menu and set as the starting value-10dB. Make sure that at this level the
echo is within the range from-40dB to 10db.
•
Enter in "Max Echo Tresh " (the maximum value of echo threshold) and set the maximum tolerable
value of the ratio between echo and received signal in dB (up to +6 dB),
over this threshold the power of the output signal is lowered to bring the ratio to the limit.
•
Enter in Echo Canc Cfg" and enable the echo canceller.
•
Check the "Echo Power Ratio" measure to verify echo entity value.
Per Gap Filler si intende un ripetitore digitale DVB-T nel quale canale di trasmissione e di ricezione coincidono.
In questa condizione è possibile abilitare il cancellatore di eco. Per eco si intende l'entità del segnale
trasmesso che rientra in ricezione.
•
Impostare la frequenza di ricezione uguale alla frequenza di trasmissione.
•
Nel menu "DEMODUL CFG." entrare nel sottomenu "RX CH Bandwdt" ed impostare la larghezza di
banda del segnale ricevuto. Il cancellatore d'eco funziona solo se il demodulatore DVB-T è in grado di
demodulare il segnale ricevuto.
•
Nel menu principale accedere al menu "RF OUTPUT".
