Il DVB-T2 è un sistema di trasmissione digitale terrestre, sviluppata dal DVB Project. È il sistema più avanzato in
tutto il mondo e introduce le ultime tecniche di modulazione e codifica per abilitare l'uso estremamente
efficiente dello spettro di trasmissione terrestre per la fornitura di servizi audio, video e dati.
Come il suo predecessore, il DVB-T2 utilizza la modulazione OFDM (multiplex a divisione di frequenza
ortogonale), con un gran numero di sub-portanti fornendo un segnale robusto. Il DVB-T2 utilizza la stessa
codifica che è stato selezionato per il DVB-S2. LDPC (controllo di parità a bassa densità) combinata con la
codifica BCH (Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquengham) offre eccellenti prestazioni in presenza di elevati livelli di
rumore e interferenze.
Sono disponibili varie opzioni riguardanti il numero di portanti, dimensioni dell'intervallo di guardia e segnali
pilota, in modo tale da minimizzare l'overhead per ogni canale di trasmissione. Una nuova tecnica, chiamata
Costellazione Ruotata, fornisce ulteriore robustezza nei canali critici.

•One IP digital input, working at 100Mbit/s and1Gbit/s in multicast mode, is provided. By this input interface
the modulator can manage an UDP/RTP audio flow compliant to RFC3551 standard. The modulator can
also be feed with a stream with time synchronization information included.
•Viene fornito un ingresso IP che opera alle velocità di 100Mbit/s e 1Gbit/s in modalità multicast. Questo
ingresso riesce a gestire un flusso audio su protocollo UDP/RTP conforme allo standard RFC3551. E'
inoltre possibile alimentare il modulatore con uno stream in cui sono inserite informazioni temporali per la
sincronizzazione di diversi sistemi trasmissivi.
