The fluid level should be between the ADD and HOT
marks when the engine is cold
When the engine compartment is hot, the level should
be at the HOT mark.
If the fluid is at the ADD mark when the engine is cold
or hot, you should add power steering fluid.
What to Use
To determine what kind of fluid to use, see Part D:
Recommended Fluids and Lubricants on page 6-16 .
Always use the proper fluid. Failure to use the proper
fluid can cause leaks and damage hoses and seals.

What to Use
When you need to add windshield washer fluid, be sure
to read the manufacturer's instructions before use.
If you will be operating your vehicle in an area where
the temperature may fall below freezing, use a fluid that
has sufficient protection against freezing.
This symbol, along with
the LOW WASHER FLUID
message will appear in
the Driver's Information
Center (DIC) when
the windshield washer
fluid is low.
