8 A r evacuat on

8.1 Preparat ons and precaut ons

A r and fore gn matter n the refr gerant c rcu t can cause abnormal r ses n pressure, wh ch can
damage the a r cond t oner, reduce ts eff c ency, and cause njury. Use a vacuum pump and man fold
gauge to evacuate the refr gerant c rcu t, remov ng any non-condensable gas and mo sture from the
system.
Evacuat on should be performed upon n t al nstallat on and when un t s relocated.
Before perform ng evacuat on
Check to make sure that both h ghpressure and low-pressure p pes between the ndoor and outdoor
un ts are connected properly n accordance w th the Refr gerant P p ng Connect on sect on of th s
manual.
Check to make sure all w r ng s connected properly.
