SONAR Resolution Settings
CAUTION:
lowers the amount of data saved. This change affects not only the screen, but also the
actual raw data that is saved to the disk.
Along Track: This setting affects the ping rate and several aspects of SONAR data collection.
First, it controls the virtual width of data or virtual samples per channel. The lower the number of
virtual samples per channel, the faster the SONAR can be towed; the opposite is also true.
TIP:
A higher resolution requires a slower survey speed. Reduce the resolution to scan
an area quickly and find the target, then raise the resolution to get a more detailed
image when the target has been found. For general use, keep the slider in the middle.
