A-Mode

The A-Mode Window uses the boat icon as the ping selector to display a graph of the concurrent
ping information. Red and Green correspond to the left and right sides of the waterfall.
When you switch to single-channel display in the waterfall, the A-Mode Window will also change
to reflect the data in the waterfall.
Time is shown on the horizontal axis and signal intensity on the vertical axis. The units are
arbitrary, but
time = 0 to maximum range
intensity = 0 to maximum sound level

adjusted separately for each channel. The time-varied gain (TVG) in the system is automatic unless
you deselect that function in the Settings Window.

3.2.4.6.1 Using the Image Adjustment Window

Gain and Histogram adjustment at the Image Adjustment Window

The Data Histogram permits the user to specify how the data will appear in the currently selected
color palette. Simply adjust the sliders (Min, Max) under each channel's histogram in the Image
Adjustment Window.

Settings

The Settings Window contains many different pages for adjusting the settings of the Sea Scan
Survey software. Access the Settings Menu by selecting <Tools> and then <Settings>.
Alternatively, access it by right clicking on the waterfall and selecting one of the settings options
or <NMEA Data Input>.
