CAUTION
Raising the mower deck for service or
maintenance relying solely on mechanical
or hydraulic jacks could be dangerous. The
mechanical or hydraulic jacks may not be
enough support or may malfunction allowing
the unit to fall, which could cause injury.
Do Not rely solely on mechanical or hydraulic
jacks for support. Use adequate jack stands or
equivalent support.
1. Upper rearmost hole
3. Remove and discard the deck support from under
the rear deck rollers.
4. Carefully remove the jack stands.
5. Before the deck is lowered into the operating
position (steps 6 through 9), the crate opening under
the deck must be fully covered. Place a plywood
sheet, or similar support, over the opening to provide
support for the deck when the unit is driven off of
the crate; otherwise damage may occur between the
blower discharge tube and the deck.
6. On both sides of the seat, remove and discard
the two side struts, mounting brackets, and their
hardware.
7. Remove and discard the strut located between the
front deck support pins.
8. Make sure deck locking pins are pulled out in the
unlock position and carefully lower the deck (see
Figure 2).

2. Rotate the deck locking pin toward the rear and pull outward
to unlock
3. Push the deck locking pin in and rotate toward the front
to lock
9. Push the deck locking pins inward and rotate forward
to securely lock the deck in the lowered position
WARNING
Operating mower without locking pins securely
latched can result in the mower deck folding
up unexpectedly. The mower deck folding up
unexpectedly can cause serious injury.
Always operate mower with locking pins
securely latched.
Installing the Rear Caster Wheel
1. Remove the rear caster wheel assembly from inside
the hopper.
2. Raise the rear of the unit approximately 10–12 inches
and support it with jack stands or equivalent support.
3. Remove and discard the metal support tray and its
hardware, located behind the drive tires, from the
machine.
4. Install the rear caster wheel into the caster fork.
5. Carefully remove the jack stands and lower the
machine.
Checking Tire Pressure
1. Check the tire pressure in the drive tires. Proper
