hood from the power supply.

2. INSTALLATION

2.1 Electrical Connection
The device is equipped with built-
in protection against Class II
electric shocks so no cable
should be connected to the earth
connection.
- Check that the supply voltage
and frequency coincide with the
nameplate data.
- The electrical connection must
be carried out as follows:
Brown
= L (Live)
Blue
= N (Neutral)
- Although this device is equip-
ped with a switch, it is advisable
to install it in such a way as to
leave the pin accessible (Fig. 2
D)
with

- In the event of direct connec-
tion to the electricity supply,
there is a connection card inside
the box, located on the supply
cable itself, for the installer.
Although this device is equipped
with a switch, an omnipolar
switch with a minimum opening
of 3 mm between contacts
should be placed between the
device and the power supply; it
must be appropriate for the load
and observe current regulations.
- Never use bulbs of greater
power than the power indicated;
bulbs must always be of the
same kind. If the bulbs fail to
work, check that they are pro-
perly fitted.
2.2 Fastening the Hood
The hood must be centred with
respect to the cooking surface,
at a minimum height of 650 mm
from electric plates or at a height
of 750 mm for gas or mixed coo-
kers (this distance may vary in
terms of the current legislation
in each country).
1- Make sure that the kitchen unit
is capable of supporting the hood.
This unit must have a panel (A) on
to which to fix the hood. (Fig. 1).
2- Drill the kitchen unit panel,
following the dotted line measu-
rements (Fig. 2C), in order to
pass the coupling of the dischar-
ge pipe.
