Action
 Replace the HEGO sensor. Refer to Section 5.7.
Is the replacement complete?
Verify that the HEGO sensor is working properly:
 Connect any disconnected components.
 Clear DTC information from the ECM.
 Turn the ECM power OFF and wait 30 seconds.
 Start and run the engine until operating temperature is reached.
 Observe engine performance.
 Turn the engine off and check for any stored diagnostic codes.
Does the engine operate normally with no stored codes?
 Replace the ECM. Refer to Section 5.4.
Is the replacement complete?
 Remove all test equipment except Spectrum.
 Connect any disconnected components.
 Using Spectrum, clear DTC information from the ECM.
 Turn the ECM power OFF and wait 30 seconds.
 Start the engine and operate to full operating temperature.
 Use Spectrum to verify if the DTC code was regenerated.
 Observe engine performance.
Does the engine operate normally with no stored codes?
