3 - 9 Installing the exterior parts
1) Install the bottom cover (1 - 27) on the chassis with three screws (1 - 8)
completely. Floating is not allowed.
2) Install the grip (1 - 9) on the chassis with two screws (1 - 10) and two
screws (1 - 11). Floating or tilting is not allowed.
3) With the synchro - terminal fitted into the hole completely, install the
cover (1 - 44) on the chassis with two set screws (1 - 40) and two screws
(1 - 41). Floating is not allowed.
4) Install the leathers (1 - 12 and 1 - 24) on the grip (1 - 9) and cover (1 - 27)
with adhesive. (Apply ketone to the adhered surface of the leather to
melt the adhesive.)
5) Apply the knurled ring (7 - 66) to the focusing ring I (7 - 63), apply
adhesive in between the knurled ring and focusing ring I at two to three
positions to secure the knurled ring on the focusing ring I.
