INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SELF-PRIMING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS
RULES FOR SAFE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. BE SURE electric power to your pump or control
box is disconnected before installing or while ser-
vicing your pump and water system.
2. BE SURE to test water from well for safe use
before installing your pump. Check local Health
Department for procedure.
3. BE SURE to keep well covered until installation
is completed to prevent leaves and foreign matter
from falling into the well. This will prevent conta-
mination of the water and/or possible serious
damage to the mechanical operation of your
pump.
4. BE SURE installation is in accordance with all
applicable local electric, plumbing, sanitary,
pump and well codes and ordinances.
5. BE SURE your electric supply circuit agrees with
the voltage stamped on the motor nameplate.
NOTE: If your motor is dual voltage, BE SURE to
wire motor to same voltage as electric supply cir-
cuit. If in doubt, contact your local Power
Company.
