Before checking the rotary speeds:
n Replace the air filter
on page 90.
Check the engine oil level

1. Start the engine and run it warm for approx. 15 minutes.
2. Run the tamper on ground that can be compacted.
3. Set the throttle lever to position "MIN".
4. After approx. 30 to 40 seconds read the idle speed from the
existing engine rpm-meter .
