Phase One
Blockout Installation Procedure
(during earth or masonry work)
1) Ensure a suitable recess is provided to accommo-
date installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/M.
2) Set installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/M in position and ensure that:
a) Arrow R on mounting ring M is pointed towards
the object to be illuminated (wall, tree, column).
b) Mounting ring M is ush with surface F. If the
oor will be tiled or paved afterwards, leave an
appropriate gap.
c) Mains supply cable(s) O is of suf cient length to
connect sealable junction box J with cable E from
luminaire.
3) During ongoing earth and/or masonry works, do
not remove stickers on xing thread holes D.
Ensure that installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/M is not damaged and has maintained
its original shape. If necessary use a cover plate.
Phase Two
Luminaire Installation and Electrical Connection
4) Switch off mains electrical supply.
5) Check that rating shown on luminaire label conforms
with mains electrical supply.
6) Terminate cable E from luminaire housing A and
mains supply cable O (for individual wiring) or
branch cable (for through wiring) in sealable junc-
tion box J – to connect cable(s). Follow the seal-
able junction box termination instruction included
in the packaging.
7) Peel-off stickers on xing thread holes D. Set cables
and sealable junction box J inside installation
blockout/mounting ring assembly B/M.
For wallwash illumination only
Ensure the arrow indicated on the sticker is facing
the illuminated surface (Fig. IV)
8) Loosen countersunk screws C (do not turn out).
Insert mounting lever L between head of counter-
sunk screws C and cover lens. Place luminaire
housing A into installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/M (Fig. III) while aligning holes D on
mounting ring M.
Warning: When luminaire is placed inside installa-
tion blockout B, ensure there is no stress on seal-
able junction box J or electric cables (Fig. V).
9) Tighten countersunk screws C 'hand-tight'.
