PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION WARNING EXCESSIVE WEIGHT HAZARD! To reduce the risk of personal injury, we advise you have the assistance of 2 or more individuals while moving and installing the air conditioner. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS DRAIN CUP INSTALLATION AND USE 2. Install shipping screws on both sides of cabinet. 3. Plug the control panel to the unit. CONTROL PANEL USING THE CONTROL PANEL COOL Mode • Press the MODE button until the COOL indicator is on. • Press the TEMP/TIME buttons (+/–) to adjust desired room temperature on the display. • Press the SPEED button to select desired fan speed POWER (High, Med, Low, Auto). TEMP/TIMER AUTO HEAT HIGH COOL HEAT Mode ENERGY SAVER • Press the MODE button until the HEAT indicator is on. FAN ONLY • Press the TEMP/TIME buttons (+/–) to adjust desired TIMER MODE SPEED 0.5-24 HR room temperature on the display. -

REMOTE CONTROL 1. ON/OFF Button Press to turn the unit ON/OFF. 2. DIGITAL DISPLAY 3. MODE Button Press this button to select operating mode. 4. +/– BUTTONS These buttons are for increasing/decreasing the temperature settings within a range of 61 – 86°F (16 – 30°C) and for setting the MODE time when setting the Timer. 5. TIMER Button Press this button to set the Timer for time Switch-On, Switch-Off or to cancel the timer. (See page 10 for more information.) 6. SLEEP Button Available on remote control only. See page 13. SLEEP TIMER 7. - Page 15 USING THE REMOTE CONTROL COOL Mode • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on. • Press the MODE button to select COOL. An arrow will appear next to this icon to indicate that it is selected. • Set the temperature using the –/+ buttons. • To select fan speed, press the FAN button until the required speed is selected (LOW/MED/HIGH/AUTO). NOTE: In COOL mode the unit automatically removes excess moisture from the atmosphere. HEAT Mode - Room Heat Pumps Heat pumps work by moving heat instead of creating it. In the summer, the cool indoor coil absorbs heat from your room and moves it outdoors, providing cooling.
- Page 16 ENERGY SAVER Mode While the unit is running press the MODE button to select Energy Saver (”SAVE”). When the set temperature is reached the compressor will shut off. The fan will continue to run 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off. The unit will not run for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the fan will run for 1 minute and repeat the cycle. If the temperature changes the compressor will turn on until the set temperature is reached. SLEEP Function The temperature setting will gradually increase to 1ºF above the original set temperature for each of the first 2 hours. The unit will keep operating at...

CARE AND CLEANING CAUTION Clean air conditioner occasionally to keep it looking and operating like new. Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning to prevent shock or fire hazards. NOTE: If the air filter screen is blocked by dust, the performance of the unit will be affected, the unit will be louder than normal, and power consumption will increase. Therefore, periodic cleaning of the air filter screen is necessary. NOTE: The life of your unit may be greatly reduced if you live in a salty air or other corrosive type environment. Under these conditions, the unit should be removed from its case and completely cleaned at least once a year. -

TROUBLESHOOTING WARNING To reduce the risk of electric shock, personal injury, or death, turn the fan control to the OFF position and remove the unit plug from the wall outlet before doing any inspection or maintenance work The following is a list of problems that are sometimes encountered when using a room air conditioner. Possible cause and suggested remedies are given for each problem. If the problem cannot be fixed using the suggested remedies, see WHEN ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED section on the next page. (See installation instructions.) WATER PUDDLES INSIDE UNIT OR IS COMING • Make sure that there is no debris blocking the drainage area of the unit. INTO ROOM • If the air conditioner operates in high humidity for a long time, moisture may be condensed and appear at the air outlets (louvers). • Unit is removing a large quantity of moisture from a humid room. This is normal during WATER DRIPPING OUTSIDE excessively humid days.
