The CareCo Traveller has been designed for use both indoor and outdoor and will take a max- imum user weight of 110kg (18 stone). It is a transit wheelchair and can only be operated by the wheelchair attendant/carer.

Assembly The CareCo Traveller Transit Wheelchair will come fully assembled with the exception of the legrests. Simply take the wheelchair out of its packaging and pull the armrests apart, then push the seat base down until in the horizontal position.

up. Whilst holding the two seat straps on either side of the seat canvas, pull upwards to fold the chair. The backrest also has a half-folding back which can be used to make the Traveller even more compact. Push the black paddle at the rear of the chair with your thumb whilst pulling the handle down.

Stepper Tube and Kerbs Mounting a Kerb – Approach the kerb head on. The attendant/carer pushes down with their foot on the stepper tube at the rear of the wheelchair to raise the front castors off the ground and on to the kerb. The attendant/carer then pushes the wheelchair forward and lifts the rear of the wheelchair up onto the kerb.
lap belt is adjustable in length and should be adjusted to fit the user using the triglides. The lap belt should be tight around the user’s pelvis (without causing discomfort) and the user’s hips and pelvis should be held in place towards the rear of the Traveller Wheelchair.
