    Introduction The CareCo Enduro Suspension wheelchair has been designed with comfort of ride and quality in mind. It is suitable for occasional or frequent use, and can be used both, outdoors and indoors. It’s aluminium frame is lightweight and durable, and moves with the adjustable shock absorbers to tailor the ride to each individual user’s preference.

    Adjustment Features Armrests For comfort the armrest will flip up, remove and has a height adjustable arm pad. To adjust the height of the armpad, press button (A) whilst adjusting the pad (B) height. To flip up the armrest, lift up the front of the armrest whilst pushing flipper (C).
  • Page 5 To remove the armrest, pull plunger (D) whilst pulling the armrest from the receiver. Legrests To adjust the length of the leg rest, first loosen the allen bolt on the legrest using the allen key provided. Then slide the footplate in and out until the desired position is reached.

    WARNING Adjusting the rear wheel position will affect the dynamic and static stability of the chair. Always ensure any adjustments are safe for the user and ensure both rear wheels are set to the same position. Folding Back Mechanism The wheelchair has a half fold back mechanism which has been designed so that the wheelchair will fit in to small spaces by reducing the wheelchair height.

    To fold the chair, ensure that the legrests are removed or the footplates flipped up. Remove the seat and back cushions and remove the rear wheels if required. Pull up in the centre of the front and rear of the seat canvas and the wheelchair will naturally fold up.
  • Page 10 1. Propulsion • Either the wheelchair user or an attendant can manually propel the wheelchair. • If the user is propelling the wheelchair, they should use the handrims attached to the rear wheels. The user can slow the wheelchair by applying pressure to the handrim using their hands.
  • Page 11 Stepper Tube and Kerbs Anti-tip wheels The stepper tubes have integral anti-tip wheels. The height of the wheels can be altered by pulling the round disc on the stepper tube whilst adjusting the wheel height as required. WARNING Ensure that the wheels on both stepper tubes are set at the same height.

    Tyre Pressure and Inflation This Enduro Suspension wheelchair comes complete with racing pneumatic tyres. These tyres should be inflated with a manually operated pump and use a high-pressure bicycle tyre valve.

    Care and Maintenance • Before each use of the wheelchair, the brakes should be checked. • The wheelchair should be stored in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight. When in storage the wheelchair can be folded up. The wheelchair should be kept clean and dust free.
