    APPLYING THE BRAKES PARKING BRAKE LOCKING Push the brake lever forwards to lock the parking brake. UNLOCKING Pull the brake lever backwards to unlock the parking brake. ATTENDANT BRAKE STOPPING Gradually squeeze both brake levers to stop the wheelchair. Release the brake levers to start moving again.

  • Page 17 TRANSPORTATION TRANSPORTATION IN A VEHICLE (OCCUPIED) Your Ergo Pro wheelchair has been successfully tested in accordance with requirements of ISO 71769-19 meaning it is suitable for use as a seat in a motor vehicle, providing that the wheelchair tie-down and occupant restraint straps (WTORS) meet the requirements of ISO 10542-1.

Changing and/or substituting the wheelchairs securement positions must not be made without consulting CareCo. Ensure the chosen vehicle has the necessary accessibility and strength to transport the occupied wheelchair.

    STOWING THE WHEELCHAIR Ensure the brakes have been applied and any accessories have been secured before transporting. Fold the wheelchair, then lift it into the desired vehicle.
