Assembly The CareCo Freedom Travel Chair will come fully assembled with the exception of the legrests. Simply take the wheelchair out of its packaging and pull the armrests apart, then push the seat base down until in the horizontal position.

WARNING Do not push down on the handles to raise the front of the wheel- chair as this could result in damage to your Freedom Travel Chair. Use the stepper tube as described further on in this manual.

Transportation For safe transportation of your Freedom Travel Chair, first fold the wheelchair as described above. Then remove the legrests by pushing down on the chrome lever on the legrest while twisting 90 degrees to the side of the wheelchair. This should unlock the legrest allowing you to lift the legrest up and off the wheelchair.
