TROUBLESHOOTING — EN
CONDITION
1. Cooler will not operate at first.
2. Cooler stops operating after running
for some time.
3. No cooling.
4. Cooler makes bad smell.
5. Cooler makes scraping or rattling
noise on new season start up.
6. Water overflows from reservoir.
7. Cooler will not operate at all.
8. Damaged power supply cord.
CONDICION
1. El acondicionador de aire no funciona
immediatemente.
2. El acondicionador de aire se para
desqués de funcionar por un tiempo.
3. No enfría.
4. El acondicionador de aire da mal
olor.
5. El acondicionador de aire raspa o
produce zumbidos al comienzo de la
temporada.
6. Agua rebalsa del tanque.
7. El acondicionador de aire no
funciona.
8. Cordón eléctrico dañado.
SOLUCION DE PROBLEMAS — SP
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1.1 Power outlet or supply faulty.
1.2 Wrong voltage.
2.1 Motor overheated (safety cutout).
3.1 Cooling control is off.
3.2 Reservoir is empty or nearly
empty.
3.3 Weather is too humid.
3.4 Aspen filter pad and/or pump inlet
screen blocked or dirty.
3.5 Pump is not working properly.
3.6 Fan/pump not running fast enough
on low speed.
4.1 Reservoir or filter pad dirty.
4.2 Water quality is poor.
5.1 Dirt has accumulated inside pump.
6.1 Too much water put in.
6.2 Water level meter not working.
7.1 Electrical fault.
CAUSA POSSIBLE
1.1 Defecto en el tomacorriente o
problema en el suministro de energía.
1.2 Tensión incorrecta.
2.1 El motor está sobre calentado
(circuito de corte de seguridad).
3.1 El control en friar se 'cerrado'.
3.2 El tanque de agua está vacío o casi
vacío.
3.3 El tiempo está demasiado húmedo.
3.4 La almohadilla de filtro 'Aspen' y/o
el filtro de la entrada de la bomba están
obstruidos o sucios.
3.5 La bomba no está trabajando
correctamente.
3.6 El ventilador y/o la bomba no están
trabajando lo suficientemente rápido a
velocidad baja.
4.1 El tanque o la almohadilla de filtro
están sucios.
4.2 La calidad del agua no es buena.
5.1 Impurezas se han acumulado
adentro de la bomba.
6.1 Demasiada agua puesta en el
tangue.
6.2 El indicador del nivel de agua no
funciona.
7.1 Falta eléctrica.
REMEDY
1.1.1 Switch on power outlet.
1.1.2 Check power supply.
1.1.3 Check power outlet.
1.2.1 Check that power supply is the same as specified on the rating label.
2.1.1 Wait 30–45 minutes for motor to cool down and it will restart automatically. If
condition persists take the cooler to a service agent.
3.1.1 Turn 'cool' control on (fig. 11).
3.2.1 Fill with water again until water level meter is at the full position.
Water capacity = 21 litres.
3.3.1 Turn 'cool' control off (fig 12) and use cooler as a fan.
3.4.1 Clean parts – see Maintenance page 5.
3.5.1 The pump is NOT a separate electric pump. It is connected to the fan motor and is
driven mechanically. Turn the cooler off and completely drain the reservoir (page 5). Then
refill with water (page 2). Switch 'fan' to high speed (III), turn the 'cool' (cooling) control on
(fig. 13) and run the cooler for 10–15 minutes non-stop. This will help dissolve and flush
out the dirt. The Aspen filter pad should now be wet. If the pad is not visibly wet and there
is no cooling, have the cooler checked by a service agent.
3.6.1 Check that supply voltage is up to correct level.
3.6.2 Fan and pump will pick up speed slightly as the motor reaches normal operating
temperature. Allow the cooler to run for 30–60 minutes and check again. If there is no
improvement have the cooler checked by a service agent.
4.1.1 Drain reservoir and fill the cooler with clean water. If it still smells clean the tank and
replace the Aspen filter pad or proceed to 4.2.1.
4.2.1 Add a little vanilla essence or perfume to the water.
5.1.1 Proceed as in 3.5.1
6.1.1 Drain some water out (page 5).
6.2.1 Slide the indicator up to the full position then let it drop. If it fails to operate have it
checked by a service agent.
7.1.1 Electrical parts must only be repaired and replaced by Authorised Service Agents.
8.1.1 If the power supply cord of this appliance is damaged it should be replaced by an
Authorised Service Agent as special purpose tools are required.
SOLUCION
1.1.1 Conecte el tomacorriente.
1.1.2 Revise el suministro de energía.
1.1.3 Revise el suministro de energía al tomacorriente.
1.2.1 Revise que el suministro de energía sea el mismo que el especificado en la placa de
potencia.
2.1.1 Espere de 30 a 45 minutos para que el motor se enfríe y se volverá a poner en
marcha automáticamente. Si la condición persiste lleve el acondicionar de aire a un agente
de servicio.
3.1.1 Ponga el control 'cool' en la posición de funcionamiento (fig. 11).
3.2.1 Lléne con agua nuevamente hasta que el indicador del nivel de agua se encouentre en
la posición 'lleno'. Capacidad del tanque = 21 litros.
3.3.1 Ponga el control de 'cool' a 'Off' (fig. 12) y utilice el acondicionador de aire como
ventilador solamente.
3.4.1 Limpie las distintas partes – vea la pág. 5 sobre Mantenimiento.
3.5.1 La bomba NO es una bomba eléctrica separada. Está conectada al ventilador del
motor y está accionada mecánicamente. Apague el acondicionador de aire complemente y
vacíe el tangue (pág. 2). Proceda después a llenarlo con agua utilizando la apertura de
entrada del agua. Ponga la llave 'fan' a alta velocidad (III), ponga el control 'cool'
(enfriamento) (fig. 13) y hada funcionar al acondicionador de aire de 10 a 15 minutos sin
parar. Esto ayudará a disolver y a limpiar cualquier impureza. La almohadilla de filtro
'Aspen' debe estar mojada ahora. Si la almohadilla no se encouentra visiblemente mojada, y
no enfría, haga revisar al acondicionadore aire por un agente de servicio.
3.6.1 Argúrese que el suministro de tensión sea del nivel correcto.
3.6.2. El ventilador y la bomba tomarán un poco de velocidad a medida que el motor
alcance la temperatura de operación. Deje que el acondicionador de aire funcione de 30 a
60 minutos y revíselo de nuevo. Si no ha mejorado, haga revisar al acondicionador de aire
por un agente de servicio.
4.1.1 Vacíe el tangue y llene el acondicionador de aire con agua limipia. Si continua dando
mal olor, limpie el tangue y reemplace la almohadilla de filtro 'Aspen' y proceda como en
4.2.1.
4.2.1 Agregue al agua un poco de esencia de vainilla o perfume.
5.1.1 Proceda como en 3.5.1.
6.1.1 Permita que el tangue se vacíe un poco (pág. 5).
6.2.1 Deslice el indicador hacia arriba hasta la posición más alta y déjelo caer. Si no opera,
hágalo revisar por un agente.
7.1.1 Los componentes eléctricos deben ser reparados y reemparados por un Agente de
Servicio Autorizado.
8.1.1 Si el cordón eléctrico de este aparato está dañado, un Agente de Servicio Autorizado
deberá cambiarlo, pues es necesario utilizar herramientas especiales.
