Thank you for purchasing the Testboy
The Testboy TV 800 supports electricians in their daily installation duties. It serves to

perform throughout control before the commissioning of electrical systems.
The Testboy TV 800 provides the following functions:
®

Continuity test with 2mA / 200mA testing current

Calibration of the measuring lead resistance

Voltage display via 7 LEDs

High-performance LED torch

Cable break detection

External voltage protection up to 300 V

Up to 6,000 measurements (with regular, daily use) with a single battery
set
Switching on
Press any button to switch on the instrument. The instrument starts in continuity testing
mode. Press the "2/200 mA" button to switch to voltage display mode. This button ena-
bles you to switch back and forth between continuity test and voltage display.
Continuity test
The short range of the measuring instrument (0 – 20 Ω) and the fact that it can be influ-
enced by the test lead resistance means that you should first calibrate the measuring in-
strument before starting the continuity test. The calibration removes the influence of the
test lead. You can perform calibration in 2 mA / 200 mA mode.
