USING THE FLASH

Use the flash according to the guidelines below.

Force Off
Red-eye reduction, Auto
1. Press the
button to switch between flash modes.
• The selected flash mode icon appears on the LCD monitor.
2. Shoot the image.

INFORMATION DISPLAYED ON THE LCD MONITOR

The LCD displays information such as the camera settings, remaining image
capacity and shooting date etc.

The camera judges if a flash is required. If the
environment is too dark, the flash will fire.
The flash always fires.
The flash does not fire.
The camera will automatically detect when the
flash is needed and the flash will fire after a short
delay to prevent Red-Eye phenomenon.
