Intended use

The PxtFX active energy management device is used for the storage and supply of
energy from and to the DC link of applications. In this process, energy from a DC
circuit, such as a DC circuit (DC link) of a frequency converter, is converted into a DC
voltage with lower voltage values by means of a DC/DC converter and stored.
Storage involves the use of capacitive or chemical storage media such as capacitors
or accumulators. If required, the stored energy is subsequently converted back to a
higher DC voltage level and made available to the application.
The active PxtFX energy management device may only be operated on a
non-regenerative application.
In all other cases, Michael Koch GmbH must be consulted immediately - the device
must not be put into operation.
The connecting cables (cross-section to comply with your national standards)
between the PxtFX active energy management device and the DC link of the
application must be shorter than 2.0 m, must be laid as a twisted pair and must be
secured against short circuits.
The PxtEX extension unit is connected to the PxtFX active energy management device
and increases its energy storage capacity. If several active energy management
devices are connected in parallel, the additional PxtEX units must be distributed
symmetrically.
PxtFX and PxtEX are available in different versions (storage type). Only devices of the
same storage type may be connected to each other.
Protective devices (e.g. covers) may not be removed.
The PxtFX active energy management device is to be used within electrical cabinets
in the industrial area. Operation in areas at risk of explosion is prohibited.
Unauthorised modifications are prohibited.
Unauthorised modifications will invalidate all claims under warranty and liability.
Repairs may only be undertaken by the manufacturer.
