Rear-wheel quick-release
axle in swinging arm
Joint compound: Lubricate
quick-release axle and thread,
Optimoly TA
74 lb/ft (100 Nm)
Tighten left and right lock
nuts 2, taking care to brace
adjusting screws 3.
Check chain wear
Check chain, camshaft
sprocket and pinion regularly
for wear and irregularities.
Check camshaft sprocket and
pinion for deformation.
Image 1: No or minor deforma-
tion detectable on the teeth.
Camshaft sprocket and pinion
are good.
Image 2 or 3: Deformation or
pronounced wear detectable on
the teeth.
Renew chain set.
